The Kunstmühle is a huge old water mill in a small and always silent village in the middle of the German Härz. The mill is owned the tango-dance-art loving Edda Grossman. The building has a atmospheric main hall with an amazing spring dance floor, some double guest rooms and a dormitory.
You will feel quickly at home between the many beautiful paintings of Edda.
From Hannover by train to Ilsenburg (around 2 hours). Another option is Berlin by flixbus. That is cheap, but maybe the timetable does not fit (around 3 hours). Or from Berlin by train to Ilsenburg (around 3 1/2 hours), check Deutsche Bahn, Omio or Thetrainline.

In case you need to travel by plane, the closest Airport is Hannover, but Berlin is also a good option.
